Indonesia :: Sumbawa : Tanjung Batu Putih

Located around 5 kilometers east of the port of Bima this spot is usually visited as a stop-off on the way to or from Komodo. Topography here consists of a shallow fringing reef to around 20 meters then a vertical drop to over 40.

There are emperor angelfish, blue and gold bi-colour angelfish and Lamarck's angelfish. These latter two fish are endemic to this region, and the small bi-colour angelfish is particularly colourful with a blue lower-body half and eye patch, and yellow upper-body half; as they make their way across the reef in small groups searching for algae. On the edge of the drop off the is a good chance of seeing eagle rays, blacktips and schooling batfish.
